Cargo Incident Notification System
CINS is a shipping line initiative developed to increase safety in the supply chain. The main focus is to reduce the number of cargo incidents on-board ships and highlights the risks caused by certain cargoes and/or packaging failure.
CINS permits analysis of operational information on all cargo and container incidents which led to:
- Injury or loss of life
- Loss or serious damage of assets
- Environmental concerns
Membership
Becoming a member of CINS perfectly complies with the policies of CSIS, as we strive to achieve similar objectives such as improving safety and avoid damage or loss of cargoes.
The membership will allow us to stay closely informed about industry developments and to meet with all stakeholders. This will be key for decision making, marketing strategy and developments of all services provided worldwide.
